Gary M. Stern, a New York-based freelance writer, has covered diversity issues for Hispanic magazine, Hispanic Business, Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education and written for The Wall Street Journal, Investor’s Business Daily, Crain’s New York Business and Electronic Business. In co-writing Minority Rules, he interviewed the CEO of Kellogg’s, the CFO of Scholastic, and a variety of minority executives from IBM, Disney Corporation, The New York Times, and Hitachi to name a few. He has also served as a New York City stringer for Reuters and The Chicago Sun-Times. He was also ghostwriter of Garden of Dreams, a book about Madison Square Garden (Stewart, Tabori & Chang 2004) and interviewed Bill Bradley, Marv Albert, Phil Jackson, Billy Crystal and Susan Leuci for that book. Moreover, he has been a contributing writer for Consumer Reports Travel Letter, ECFO, Vista, and Emmy. Prior to becoming a writer, he taught English in New York City high schools for over a decade.
